You see or hear those words all the time. News reports love to take a study and sensationalize it. Drama sells newspapers and increases ratings. Unfortunately the majority of the population takes these reports at face value. When reading these reports it’s a good idea to actually look at the study. There are usually links for this in whichever article is citing the study’s findings. Recently a study, claiming to be the most comprehensive of its kind, concluding that eating red meat increases your risks of developing heart disease and cancer. Immediately, many informed writers on the subject of nutrition called BULL-ISH! Check out the following links as they poke more holes in the study than Swiss cheese:
Robb Wolf: “Meat, Global Warming and Markets.”
Mark’s Daily Apple: “The Red Scare”
Dr. Micheal Eades: “Meat and mortality”
WOD – 3.29.08
“Fight Gone Bad!”

This is a five-minute round from which a one-minute break is allowed before repeating. On call of “rotate”, the athletes must move to next station immediately for best score. One point is given for each rep, except on the rower where each calorie is one point.
