Drank Kool-Aid: June 2008
Fave Girl WOD: Cindy (24 rounds)
Fave Movement: Front Squats (215#)
Weighted Pull Up–No Kipping: 81# (just over 50% of his body weight!)
Danny is one of CFSB’s O.G. Firebreathers, hailing from the days of the climbing gym parking lot. Incredibly humble, he’d come in, crush the WOD, and casually glance at the board to see his time (usually setting the record for the day). One of my favorite Danny stories is of the day he asked (post WOD), “What’s a Muscle Up?” Mariessa described it to him and he replied, “You mean like this?” and then effortlessly busted out a perfect muscle up…on his first attempt.
A few months ago, Danny broke his left wrist snowboarding. Even with an injury, Danny still came in regularly and subbed the two handed movements with ones that usually make the WODs much more difficult like countless GHDs, back extensions, high box jumps, and one-armed movements. Danny’s just about all healed up (with an extraordinarily strong right arm now) and ready to break PRs with a vengeance. Looking forward to seeing your times on the board, Danny!
This Birthday WOD is his creation. Enjoy!
