Ruth just returned from her tour of Ireland – a hard earned vacation after powering through the SoCal Regionals two weekends ago. She worked out at CrossFit Ireland one day and was graciously adopted by CrossFit Northern Ireland for a few days after that. She returned from her trip bearing gifts which we proudly displayed at yesterday’s beach workout.
Speaking of which, great job to all those who came out for our free beach workout in Hermosa yesterday! We had an awesome group who braved the threatening clouds and worked through the WOD. We had a day full of surprises as well. First, we were happy to see Calysta return and join us for some fun in the overcast sun. Then, it was a huge surprise to us all to see our buddy, John, at the beach returning home after months away in the Middle East.
Homecoming has been the theme of the week and it was great to have some of our old friends back with the CFSB family!









Great to see our t-shirts being put through their paces on the beach, wish we where there also… Maybe someday………
Can’t wait to have you guys over, Johnny & Helzy! So…how about you come up with a proper Painstorm wod for us to do at the end of this month? We’ll reciprocate in June! Marathon soon, eh?

Since I didn’t have to do any burpees I realized I probably should’ve gone a little heavier, hence the 10# jump at the end. My previous best clean was 135#, so this was pretty cool.
