
CrossFit is all about functional fitness. Movements practiced in our WODs can easily be applied to daily life. We learn to safely pick things up off the ground, carry them from one location to another and put them on a shelf overhead. A number of exercises we do in the gym train us to handle this effort.

Tire Flip!!!!…
I work in a warehouse and there has been many times when I had to make a bail full of boxes and it doesn’t fall correctly onto the pallet. What you have to do is lift up the bail and re-adjust the pallet, and I’ll tell you a bail of boxes can be around 400 lbs. because I’ve personally “flipped” a few of those fat bi***s up! Sure I can use the forklift, but it can be a pain in the ass to maneuver a forklift to the bailer, and it’s just way more fun to get your hands dirty (not to mention more efficient).
