CFSB will be closed today and tomorrow as most of us will be in Aromas, California for the CrossFit Games. The programming for this year’s event looks to be brutal but fair in its search to crown the World’s Fittest Man and Woman. This is sure to be an inspirational event and if you’re unable to attend, be sure to look for frequent updates on the CrossFit Games website.
I didn’t make it to last year’s games but, after witnessing the SoCal Regionals, one can only imagine the enormous amount of talent that will be there from all across the globe. To get a taste of the kind of heart, determination and character that will be on display this weekend, check out CrossFit Games favorite Chris Spealler and his attempt to reach 100 unbroken pullups (mov | wmv)! This video will have cheering at your computer monitor!
Have a great weekend everyone and we’ll be back for Monday’s classes ready to start a new week.

have fun!
i did this today:
1000m run
3 rounds: 20 box jump, 20 pushups, 20 squats
1000m run
13:28
In the spirit of the Games SOMEONE
convinced me to work on some of my weaknesses. Well, I figured I would revisit the one WOD that still haunted me: SoCal Qual #3:
2k row
Then 6 rds: 20 box jump, 10 WB
20:02
At the quals I DNF’d at 25, with one WB and one entire rd to go. Today I was obviously much better rested, but it was a small victory for me nonetheless!
also did… tabata push ups (10) and tabata squats (13) i had 16 squats up until the last 2 rounds
10 times up sand dune park and 75 pushups
