As CrossFitters we have the benefit of looking at the world with a whole new perspective. We walk by a concrete barrier or fence and have a strong desire to see if we can make the jump to the top. We pass a steep hill and wonder how fast we could sprint to the crest. We see a tree limb and have a serious urge to do a pull-up. We hike past a large rock and just have to try a deadlift or a clean. The world is our playground.
We look at lifting groceries, moving furniture and carrying luggage as a fun challenge instead of a chore. Ice chests are no longer a two-person task.

When we normally pick up only one 5 gallon water bottle at a time, we attempt pick up two. If our grip isn’t strong enough to carry each by the neck, we try an alternative method: maybe clean one up onto a shoulder and carefully squat down to cradle the second bottle in the other arm.
If you add a camera to the mix, we now have to strike a CrossFit relevant pose. CrossFitters have taken pictures of handstands in front of national monuments, Notre Dame Cathedral and the Eiffel Tower. I have seen photos of our kind overhead squatting surfboards, drift wood and tractor tires. How about L-sits on boulders in the back country and burpees on far away beaches?
Speaking of burpees: I challenge you to perform guerilla burpees whenever possible. A guerilla burpee is a normal burpee performed randomly in public at a restaurant, mall, concert, church, party, etc. The catch is that you have to get it on film and capture reactions of the innocent bystanders.
