I love wallball. Maybe that’s because I am tall, maybe I am just crazy. Both are probably true. Wallballs are hard for sure, but there is just something about them that I enjoy. Workouts such as FGB, Karen and Cleaning Karen (one of my favorites) cripple the best of us both mentally and physically. Many of you dislike wallballs with every ounce of your being. Maybe you wouldn’t hate them as much if we added a fun target to hit each rep. Doubtful, but worth a try.
We need wallball targets. We need ideas. Targets can be as simple as a colored circle or as cool as CrossFit’s very own Pukie the Clown’s humble face. Is there somebody you know that you would love to have as a target? When I played t-ball, my mom would tell me to imagine my brother’s face on the ball; so I would hit it harder. Yes, I am the favorite.
Would an inspirational word or phrase improve your wallball experience: Get some or Kill it! Perhaps a taunting target would motivate you: Cry baby or Pussy(cat). What if we use your favorite girl workout as your 10-foot mark? The possibilities are endless!

Mariessa, I think you know what my answer or recommendation would be–words of inspiration. For me, whenever I want to give up or think I can’t do something, I try to connect my positive energy with that moment. I think our CrossFit community can attest that with encouragement, hard work, dedication, and each other we can get through any impossible.
Nicole you also like to swear a lot. Maybe you need a couple of middle fingers up there.
