This Saturday Russell Muir, the athletic trainer from Rio Hondo College, will be out for about three hours to do a clinic on mobility, recovery and injury prevention/maintenance. What does that actually mean? It means as CrossFitters, we all have our little ouchies from either bad form or a previous sports injury. We refuse to accept that age is getting the best of us and push on. Russell knows his stuff when it comes to sports injury and recovery. He researched my knee and I’ve seen him diagnose and fix professional athletes and CrossFitters alike. He will cover soft tissue and myofascial release, PNF stretching, active release, knee, back and shoulder impingement and anything else we have time for.
If you have injuries and concerns on how to stay healthy and doing the things you love, then it would be worth it to attend this clinic. I wouldn’t have asked Russell to come and visit our athletes if I didn’t think it would be beneficial to everyone. The space will be limited to 15 people so Russell will be able to work with everyone one on one with all of their ouchies.
