We are family
We are not a gym.
We don’t have elipticals, mirrors or oversized TVs playing America’s Next Top Model reruns. There are no machines for people to pretend to work out on as they text and check Facebook updates. We don’t sacrifice our clients’ safety just because dropping weight is loud. We emphasize technique and full range of motion versus lifing an irresponsible amount of weight. Our Mondays are not chest and tris days and our Wednesdays are not back and bis day. We hate each other because one of us took the other’s weights.
CFSB is quite the opposite. We are a family and we intend to keep it that way. We’ve tripled our membership since November and we all still know one another. You have all helped encourage and motivate each other which results in PRs and firsts (first double unders, first muscle up, first kipping pull-up, first lowest time). Your coaches know where you are inflexible, what injuries you have, what weight you can lift, how hard to push you, and what you’re eating. Your coaches know these things to help you accomplish your fitness goals. You have access to all of us via email, phone, text or face to face chats. When was the last time you were able to personally contact the owner of a globo gym to find out if something was Paleo or not? We are here for you, so use us!
What is it that makes us family? We share a common goal of becoming fitter and the dedication to do so. No matter how big our family grows, I promise you we will never lose the thing that makes CFSB so amazing.
Take a second and ask yourself why you come to CFSB. Remember this is OUR gym. We listen to all of your feedback to make it better for everyone. All of your coaches are constantly finding ways to help improve our means and methods. Finally, on a personal note, I just want to say thank you to everyone (and I do mean everyone) who have stuck with us and helped get us to where we are. I have a few things in the works for all us. This is just the beginning…

You couldn’t have written it better! I come because of the people and the encouragement you get from EVERYONE! The workouts kick my butt as well!! Love the variety of things we do, like nothing I have done before. Forrest and your whole team have great workout ethics and created a positive environment which everyone can thrive in!

owww I have to add one more things, because I don’t know how else to post this…SLAUGHTER…you owe me 50 Burbees (I’ll help you count them)..I am so excited! I know that wasn’t the deal, but you didn’t show up this morning at 6am! How am I supposed to reach my goals if you wimp out on me! I hope you feel better:)
I just want to say truly appreciate everyone at the gym. Coming from a different crossfit I feel that everyone at CFSB puts off a great vibe and it makes coming to workout that much easier. I can’t say enough how helpful all the coaches have been in getting me ready for this weekend! Can’t wait to kill it this weekend! (Remy and Slaughter you’re going to do awesome too!)

Since we’re all feeling a little warm and fuzzy. I thought I would include a video totally unrelated to CrossFit but totally related to Mr. Meowsworth. Last June when I moved in Mr. Meowsworth brought home a little girlfriend kitty named Riley. Here is a quick video of him giving Riley a bath. Maybe I’ll open up a kitty CrossFit.
