About Us

Our goal is functional fitness. We hope you share that goal, and will allow us to work with you to achieve it. We teach fundamental movements according to the CrossFit methodology- you will learn to squat, lift, pull, row, and throw. Our workouts combine these skills into fun, high intensity training. Your body movement, strength and endurance will improve greatly, and your physical appearance will not be far behind.

Box Jumps in the ParkCrossFit supplements the specialist and rewards the generalist

What that means is you will be put through a large grab-bag of exercises in any given week/ month- it will INCLUDE running, but not EXCLUSIVELY running. It will INCLUDE lifting, but not EXCLUSIVELY lifting. In our fitness model, the Olympic athlete is able to train next to seniors, and both will achieve the results they seek. If you can walk, you can perform CrossFit.

Kettlebell SwingClasses

Classes begin with a warm-up taking your joints and muscles through a full range of motion. You will spend a few minutes on technique and practice of a specific skill, which you will later see incorporated into your workouts. Finally, an intense workout will complete the hour. All workouts are scaled to meet the needs of each student.

Diet

If you are unhappy with your eating habits or wish to start eating to improve performance, we also offer nutritional advice. Our focus is the Zone diet. We have found that this diet optimizes performance, strength and power.

Personal Training Available

I have a very diverse fitness background, and in addition to the Crossfit classes, offer personal training to adults, children, and seniors. My experience in being a Crossfit trainer has allowed me to work with people of all shapes and sizes, and all fitness levels.

  • CrossFit Level II Trainer
  • CrossFit Olympic Lifting, Kids, Nutrition, Running & Endurance Certified
  • BS in Mechanical Engineering
  • Master’s Degree in Organizational Leadership
  • Swim coach for children ages 4-18; coached team from creation to 3rd place regionally in 1 year.
  • Adult swim instructor 2 years experience
  • Competed in outrigger canoe paddling with Lanakila Paddling Club. Team placed first in world championships 3 years running.
  • Swam Pier to Pier 2 mile race in a competitive time.
