CrossFit Poll
Many weeks ago we threw out a poll for your CrossFit goals. It’s been over 8 weeks and it’s time to see who attained them, who’s still working on it, and what your new goal is for the next 8 weeks. Post to comments. REST DAY 06.14.09

CrossFit Santa Cruz Central recently blogged about some things to consider when choosing your protein for all you zone eaters out there. When you eat protein, your body releases the hormone Glucagon, which essentially tells your body to burn fat. Robb Wolf stressed the importance of choosing “pure” protein, which basically means it had a [...]

Hope you all are enjoying your weekend and getting some well-deserved rest. Ruth just returned from her tour of Ireland – a hard earned vacation after powering through the SoCal Regionals two weekends ago. She worked out at CrossFit Ireland one day and was graciously adopted by CrossFit Northern Ireland for a few days after that. She returned from her trip bearing gifts which we proudly displayed [...]
Hopefully you are enjoying the beautiful weather for your rest day today. Don’t forget this coming Saturday, May 2nd, will be our next free beach workout. With the restrictions that paleo/zone puts on your food choices, it’s hard to keep your meals “constantly varied!” From time to time, we’ll be posting some meals that our own gym members put together just to mix it up a bit. Here’s a fast and easy scramble (4 blocks). 4 oz chicken breast, cooked 24 [...]
Kipping Pull ups, Muscle Ups, Hand Stand Push Ups, oh my! CrossFit is so constantly varied that your head can spin with all the milestones and benchmarks there are. Six Man Baby! If Ya Dont Know, Ya Better Ask Sombody!!!!!!!!!!
That’s right, Dane. I see you. I see you Dane givin’ those underhand serve lessons.
Sounds like my kinda Vball Dane. I need some work on my diving-headfirst-faceplant while still being10 feet from the ball move. It takes mad skillz to perfect that one.
serving emphasis is on attaining a proper lumbar curvature….not just having an intact lumbar spine….haha…although maybe we should start at square one???
SBB thank you for the shout out on the vball skills….if anyone is interested I am giving lessons on a bi-weekly basis in hermosa….said lessons will be focusing on getting hip extension on your flopping around, exploding out of your poorly timed jumps and keeping a proper lumbar when serving the ball(underhand) straight into the net….per lesson fees will be minimal and consist of either a Smirnoff ice or 2 dollars to put towards my new shakeweight….
