CrossFit Kids




CrossFit kids creates superheroes out of your children. At CrossFit South Bay, there are no benchwarmers. Everyone participates and discovers that fitness is fun! We design workouts that are fun for kids that will make them want to come back every week.

CrossFit kids uses a combination of skills, workouts and games to build strength and conditioning in children. Your kids will build skills through gymnastics, weight lifting, body weight movements, running, jump roping and more. We teach your kids 10 basic physical skills for any sport or discipline that they may pursue. Our goal is to improve their physical ability that will help them in their other sports.

  • Cardiovascular Endurance: The ability to gather, process and deliver oxygen
  • Stamina: The ability to process, deliver, store and utilize energy
  • Strength: The ability of a combination of muscular movements to apply force
  • Flexibility: The ability to maximize the range of motion at a given joint
  • Power: The ability of a muscular unit to apply a maximum force in minimum time
  • Speed: The ability to minimize the time cycle of a repeated movement
  • Coordination: The ability to combine several distinct movement patterns into a singular distinct movement
  • Agility: The ability to minimize transition time from one movement pattern to another
  • Balance: The ability to control the placement of the body’s center of gravity in relation to its support base
  • Accuracy: The ability to control movement in a given direction or at a given intensity

CrossFit kids will progress your child through a series of levels to develop new skills and build their fitness level. Our goal is to help bring out the best versions of themselves possible. Your child will become more focused and will learn how to become leaders. Our CrossFit kids classes provide a safe and positive learning environment, promotes the importance of health and fitness and provides them with after school fun. You will see your child grow in ability and confidence and learn that working hard can result in success.

Along with learning functional movements and fitness skills, our CrossFit kids program teaches kids social skills and confidence. While playing with other kids and following the teachers’ instructions, they will learn how to communicate, follow directions, listen and interact with others. As your child continues to grow, they will be asked to demonstrate movements, lead exercises and verbally explain exercises to develop and grow their leadership skills. We promote gameplay that will help them grow both physically and mentally. We know that your kids bodies are growing and we take caution with everything that we teach them. We make sure that our workouts and movements are safe for their bodies and their skill level.
